HEIGHTS, MN – May 26, 2009 -- Everlast Climbing Industries,
Inc., a division of PlayCore, has been selected as a Preferred Provider
for Head Start Body Start.
The purpose
of Head Start Body Start is to increase physical activity, outdoor
play and healthy eating among Head Start and Early Head Start Center
children, families and staff. The Center will assist Head Start programs
in creating healthy learning environments, both in and outside the
classroom, through structured and unstructured physical activity that
contributes to the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development

HEIGHTS, MN – April 21, 2009 -- Everlast Climbing Industries,
Inc., a division of PlayCore, has been awarded U.S. Patent Nos. 7,520,837
and 7,520,838 by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
The issued
patents cover innovative hand hold designs for use on artificial rock
climbing walls. The first patent, entitled “Climbing Wall Assembly,” is for
Double Mounted Hand Holds that enable climbing on both sides of a freestanding
climbing wall. The unique design features hand holds that attach to
each other through a single mounting hole. Full

innovative climbing wall accessory, marketed as the Traversewall® Challenge
Course, incorporates obstacle courses and a variety of other challenging
activities on climbing walls using specially designed hand holds and
components. These activities add increased interest and physical challenges
for climbers and augment the fitness-enhancing capabilities of climbing
