The
Days of Caring Program enables our employees to participate in
service projects that help make a difference in the communities
where we live, work, and play.
2010
DAY OF CARING EVENT
On the evening of November 11 Everlast Climbing staff,
families and friends gathered at Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit
Christian hunger relief organization whose mission is to feed starving
and malnourished children throughout the world.
We assembled specially-formulated food packages by mixing rice,
soy, vegetables, chicken flavoring, vitamins and minerals. The
packages were then sealed, boxed and labeled. The Everlast Climbing
group, along with the other groups in attendance, boxed 8,434 food
packages. This is enough food to feed 23 children for one year.
The food will be distributed to an orphanage in Haiti. The event
was enjoyed by everyone, especially since a difference was made
in the lives of starving children.

2009
DAY OF CARING EVENT
Everlast
Climbing’s ‘Evening’ of Caring took place on
November 17, 2009. Office and production staff installed an 8'
x 20' Magna® Traverse Wall Package at Washburn Center for
Children, a non-profit agency serving children and families in
Minnesota. Washburn specializes in helping children with social,
emotional and behavioral mental health problems and their families.
The Magna Traverse Wall Package was installed in Washburn’s
gross motor room and will be used by the children it serves in
their many different programs.
The Evening
of Caring was preceded by several ‘days of caring’ in
which production and office staff volunteered their time to manufacture
the various parts of the package during their breaks and after
hours. We are especially grateful to our production staff for their
100% participation! Everlast Climbing was able to completely donate
the climbing wall package thanks to the generosity of its vendors
who donated all of the materials AND thanks to the generosity of
employees. It was a meaningful and successful event for everyone
involved!
